ALEX MCLAUGHLIN is excited to join the Lifestream Wellness team, and is inspired by the healing community her mom, Jean Baker, has cultivated here.
Alex is a school social worker, yoga instructor, and a mama of two fur babies. As a human on this earth, and in this busy society, we are bombarded with so much stimuli and stress, as a result we often encounter difficulty hitting the "off" button and accessing our parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest).
Alex believes that our body, mind and spirit are constantly sending us signals through our "dis-ease," we just need to learn to listen. Practices such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga and acupuncture are ways we can tap in to that wisdom and begin the healing process. The time we spend simply being and giving ourselves nourishing healing is priceless.
